X-Ray Quasi-periodic Eruptions Driven by Star–Disk Collisions: Application to GSN069 and Probing the Spin of Massive Black Holes

چکیده

X-ray quasi-periodic eruptions (QPEs) are discovered recently in active galaxies with unknown driven mechanism. Under the assumption that QPEs caused by star-disc collisions, we adopt full relativistic method and show both orbital parameters of star also mass spinning massive black hole (MBH) can be revealed using time arrival (TOA) QPEs. By applying model to observed GSN069, find is a near-circular orbit ( $e_\bullet=0.05^{+0.02}_{-0.02}$) semimajor axis $\sim 365^{+54}_{-49}r_{\rm g}$ around MBH $M_\bullet=3.0^{+0.9}_{-0.6} \times10^5M_\odot$. The alternative short long recurring GSN069 well explained small eccentricity precession star. We possibly striped stellar core colliding accretion disc after partial tidal disruption event MBH. For GSN069-like galaxies, if continuous monitoring QPE events accumulated uncertainties TOA $\lesssim 100-150$s, spin constrained fitting Our results timing provide unique probe for measuring tests no-hair theorem.

Spectral and Fourier analyses of X-ray quasi-periodic oscillations in accreting black holes

We study energy dependencies of quasi-periodic oscillations from a number of black hole X-ray binaries. The selected sources were observed by RXTE at time periods close to state transitions and showed QPO in the 1–10 Hz range. We have constructed QPO rootmean-square energy spectra, which provide information about underlying physical process leading to QPO generation. These spectra show an inter...

Probing Distant Massive Black Holes with LISA

Idealized models are used to illustrate the potential of the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) as a probe of the largely unknown population of cosmologically-distant Massive Black Holes (MBHs) and as a tool to measure their masses with unprecedented accuracy. The models suggest that LISA will most efficiently probe a MBH population of lower mass than the one found in bright quasars and ...

Spin of Stellar-Mass Black Holes Estimated by a Model of Quasi-Periodic Oscillations

We have proposed in previous papers that the high-frequency pair QPOs observed in black-hole binaries with frequency ratio 3:2 are inertial-acoustic oscillations (nearly horizontal oscillations with no node in the vertical direction) or g-mode oscillations, which are resonantly excited on warped relativistic disks. The resonance occurs through horizontal motions. In this model the dimensionless...

Quasi-stars and the cosmic evolution of massive black holes

We explore the cosmic evolution of massive black hole (MBH) seeds forming within ‘quasistars’ (QSs), accreting black holes embedded within massive hydrostatic gaseous envelopes. These structures could form if the infall of gas into the centre of a halo exceeds about 1 M yr−1. The collapsing gas traps its own radiation and forms a radiation pressure-supported supermassive star. When the core of ...
